It's honestly just a bit of a slog early on. Ort Sol, or Lore is a helmet runeword that gives +1 to all skills along with some mana and lightning resistance, but again the Sol rune isn't going to drop until Nightmare. It is the most played character build in Diablo II, as Hammerdins dealing 15,000 damage per. This build is favored due to the extraordinary damage of the Blessed Hammer, coupled with its synergies, Vigor and Blessed Aim. Insight has good damage and it grants an aura that gives lots of mana regeneration but you won't have one of those until some time in Nightmare difficulty at the earliest. A Hammerdin is a Paladin build involving the maxed-out use of the Blessed Hammer skill. Ral Tir Tal Sol, or Insight, is a polearm runeword that you can give to your A2 merc. I don't know if you play PoE or some other modern ARPG but D2 just doesn't have as good of recovery mechanics like the newer titles have. Leveling a caster is just a bit rough and you have to stick out having mana problems until later on. Sapphires give flat mana, so keep an eye out for those and any socketed chests/helms to stick them in. You can use a Tir rune on a socketed item to give it that stat. Anything that gives mana after kill can be helpful too. You're only getting started! Caster characters are rough to start with and yes you just go through mana pots like crazy until you're a higher level and have some gear together.įor now, feel free to spec into Energy and look for any gear that adds to mana or energy.
